Spreedia is a comprehensive boutique discovery tool, currently for the cities of Boston, Northampton (MA), and Saratoga Springs. The goal: remove the stumbling from the "stumbling upon" process so often associated with boutique shopping. Spreedia offers a guide to the hidden gems, paired with an editorial perspective on their products and services. The coverage on Spreedia reflects founder Amanda Knorr's own opinions and personal tastes, while keeping a variety of lifestyles and budgets in mind. These are the shops that add color, style, and charm to their respective cities—go strap on your sneakers, heels, clogs, wedges, boots, booties, sandals, and not Crocs to go explore them.
Amanda Knorr is a New York native and has lived in Boston for the past decade. A 2007 BU School of Communications grad, Knorr worked at The Improper Bostonian for four years where she served as style & beauty editor before launching Spreedia in 2011. She's contributed to The Boston Globe, Fodor's Thrillist, Daily Candy, and GuidePal, and edited the 2010 and 2011 Fodor's Shopping Guides for Boston. All of this qualifies her to create an entire site about boutique shopping, and you should listen to everything she says on the subject (unflinchingly and without question). Knorr also writes her own bios.
